You're very kind Evadne. I'm glad that my story, such as it is, helped you to find your way and your voice. I'm really looking forward to attending your readings sometime soon... Loving your blog too...

Hi Terry: Happy 50th birthday, Merry Christmas & best wishes for 2010. I wish you every success in 2010 - you deserve it! As you reflect on your successes this past year, I hope that you will also include the reverberations of your Leacock Shockwave, which hit me in March 2009 when I attended your book reading at the Beaches Branch Library. As a direct result of your encouragement, advice and interest in my writing over the past 9 months, I am now a writer: I am doing final revisions on the novel I dreamed of for years but had given up on writing and interviews with talented Canadian authors on the blog I had never even contemplated having. Also, thanks to the thrill I had when reading "The Best Laid Plans," my childhood love of reading has been revived. After many, many years of feeling like I did not have time to read, I am now reading every book I can manage. Please know that all of this, especially the reading, has been very significant for me. Also, thanks for mentioning Pasha Malla in your previous posting - I had not read any of his writing until now. I love stuff like his open letters in McSweeny's - very funny. Evadne.
